Real Madrid C.F. issued an official statement in response to remarks made by Javier Tebas, President of LaLiga, who compared the actions of the club's leadership to the propaganda methods utilized by Nazi Germany's propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels. Describing the comments as "absolutely intolerable," the club accused Tebas of lacking neutrality and impartiality and demanded his immediate resignation as President of LaLiga and Vice President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The full official statement reads as follows:
Regarding the statements made by Javier Tebas, President of LaLiga and Vice President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, in which he compared the conduct of Real Madrid's management to the propaganda methods exploited by Joseph Goebbels, minister of propaganda in Nazi Germany, and alleged that Real Madrid TV serves as a tool in this supposed strategy, Real Madrid C.F. states the following:
1.Real Madrid C.F. considers it absolutely intolerable and extraordinarily serious that someone holding two positions of utmost responsibility in Spanish football resorts to a comparison with the propaganda methods of the Nazi regime to discredit our club, its management, and its television channel. The clarification that he is not referring to Nazi ideology does not mitigate the deeply offensive, morally repugnant, and institutionally unworthy nature of his statements.
2.These statements constitute yet another episode in the repeated attacks by Javier Tebas against Real Madrid, its president, and its media outlets. It is unacceptable that he even takes advantage of questions, information, or opinions from journalists unrelated to the club to direct his accusations against us, attributing to us actions of third parties for which we bear no responsibility whatsoever.
3.It is especially concerning that Tebas uses these statements to call into question the legitimate actions taken by Real Madrid and Real Madrid TV in relation to the Negreira case.
Given the lack of response to the extraordinary gravity of the Negreira case by the two institutions in which Javier Tebas holds positions of paramount relevance, our club has had to approach UEFA directly to demand a full and exhaustive clarification of the payments made over many years by F.C. Barcelona to the vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees, as well as the adoption of necessary measures to safeguard the integrity of the competitions.
Real Madrid also demands a comprehensive overhaul of the refereeing system and the federative structures of governance, management, supervision, and discipline, through the renewal of those who held positions of responsibility during that period.
Real Madrid points out that it is particularly significant that Javier Tebas, as President of LaLiga and Vice President of the RFEF—an organization that oversees the Technical Committee of Referees—dedicates his efforts to discrediting Real Madrid instead of using his institutional authority to advance the investigation into these grave matters and promote the necessary regeneration of Spanish football.
4.The repeated conduct of Javier Tebas demonstrates a lack of neutrality, respect, and impartiality entirely incompatible with his institutional responsibilities. In the view of our club, his continuous attacks on Real Madrid and on those who demand transparency and regeneration constitute a genuine scourge for Spanish football.
For all these reasons, Real Madrid C.F. considers that the repeated statements and behavior of Javier Tebas would be inadmissible within any European sports institution governed by principles of respect, neutrality, and integrity, and that they disqualify him institutionally from continuing to hold the offices he occupies.
5.Consequently, Real Madrid C.F. demands the immediate resignation of Javier Tebas as President of LaLiga and Vice President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
Real Madrid confirms that it will continue to defend its rights, its institutional prestige, the complete clarification of the Negreira case, and the necessary reform of Spanish football.
